The difference between ปวด Puad and เจ็บ Jep.
Apart from the word ปวด Puad, there is another word เจ็บ Jep, which has a very similar meaning, but both words are used to express slightly different kinds of pain in your body. In order to get a simple concept of these words, you might remember that ปวด Puad describes a continuous pain, whereas เจ็บ Jep is used to describe the temporary pain that you are feeling right at the moment it occurs, mostly caused by injuries and accidents.

Do not worry too much if you mix these two words up sometimes, because it can still be understood.
However, there is only one interesting case, where you need to learn to use these two words correctly, since the meaning changes completely if you use different verbs like these two sentences below.

* In Thai คอ (koh) means both neck and throat, in case you want to say you have a sore throat it is a bit different;
Moreover, there might be many more things which annoy you apart from those pain. Let's have a
look at some useful expressions.
